There is nothing like the Fourth of July at the beach. Sun shining, kids playing, popsicles melting. Fireworks launch pretty late in the summer, but if your kids can stay up, there are many places to see a patriotic display.
Downtown Wilmington
July 4 | 9 p.m.
Wilmington’s Independence Day Celebration
Fireworks in Downtown Wilmington are usually launched on July 4th around 9:00 P.M., but the City hasn’t announced the celebration yet this year. The fireworks can easily be seen from anywhere along the Wilmington Riverwalk. View their event calendar for the latest event information.
Carolina Beach Boardwalk

Carolina Beach Boardwalk Fireworks by the Sea
During the summer months, the Carolina Beach Boardwalk has a fireworks display every Thursday. Every Tuesday is Family Night on the Boardwalk. The Carolina Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park has kid-friendly rides. Visit their website for the most up to date information.
Buck Hardee Field
July 3 & 5
Wilmington Sharks Baseball & Fireworks
Pack up the peanuts and CrackerJacks and head to Buck Hardee Field for some baseball. The Wilmington Sharks take on Holly Springs Salamanders on July 3. The team will have fireworks on Sunday, July 2 and Monday July 3. There will also be a fireworks show June 17.

North Carolina 4th of July Festival
